Complete the online enquiry form with as much detail as possible. The most important information is the date of your event. We will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your requirements and provide you with a quote. Don't worry if you aren't sure of exactly what you want. Just because there isn't a photo of the cake that you want on the website it doesn't mean that we can't help.
For some larger designs and Wedding Cakes, it is often necessary to meet for a consultation. This gives us an opportunity to ensure that we design your perfect cake! However, celebration cakes are usually designed over the 'phone or via e-mail.
A deposit/retainer is required to hold the date if it is available. The provision of a quote or an enquiry will not hold the date, nothing is confirmed until the retainer is received. The deposit for a celebration cake is 50% of the total cost, with the remainder due 1 week before the date of the event. This may differ for Wedding Cakes booked more than 6 months in advance. This will be discussed during the Consultation or can be viewed in our terms and conditions.
Upon receipt of the deposit, an order form will be produced. We will ask you to check over all the details. Any amendments to the cake after the Order Form is confirmed may result in an additional charge.
We will mutually agree a time to collect your cake. We respectfully request that this time is adhered to; as we don't operate from a shop, we may not be available at a time that is not previously been arranged. When you collect your cake, it is now your cake! We will ensure that the cake is suitably boxed for transportation, and we will advise you on the best way to carry and transport the cake. Once the cake has left the premises, Cakey McCakeface will not be responsible for any damages caused to the cake.
Wedding Cakes and Multi-Tiered cakes will be delivered to the venue as previously arranged. This is due to the delicate nature of a tiered cake, and some construction may be required after transportation. We will sign the cake over to either yourself or the caterer/organizer. Again, once the cake has been signed over, Cakey McCakeface will not be responsible for any damages caused to the cake.
We love to see photos! And don't forget to tag us, rate us, and tell your friends!
